Funding Assistance Center
Community Resources for Independence, Inc. (CRI) has contracted with Pennsylvania's Assistive Technology Foundation to serve a Funding Assistance Center in North West Pennsylvania. The counties CRI represents include Clarion, Crawford, Erie, Forest, Mercer, Venango, and Warren counties.
Pennsylvania's Assistive Technology Foundation (PATF) was started in 1998 by the Institute on Disabilities at Temple University. The PATF is a nonprofit organization directed by a volunteer Board of Directors from throughout the Commonwealth.
What do Funding Centers do?
As a Funding Center, CRI promotes the foundation, assist people with the application process, recommends consumer credit counseling (should the potential applicant want it), and collects and forwards applications to the PATF. The foundation facilitates low interest cash loans for people with disabilities and elder Pennsylvanians to purchase assistive technology.
Why should I use this program?
In many situations funding for and assistive technology device is not available and the devices cost too much to pay cash out right for them. This program may be able to assist with eliminating the financial barrier between you and your independence.
How do I get in contact?
CRI can be reached by telephone at (800)-530-5541 or (814) 838-7222, or send an e-mail to
