PCA Training Requirements

There are 27 training videos within the online learning center. As each direct care worker is at a different point in training process their training requirements will vary. You, as a DCW, will be directed on which videos it is required for you to watch per your supervisor.
Please follow the subsequent steps in order to create an account and access this strategic training.
Step 1:
Click the following link, http://learningcenter.pahomecare.org/, to access the Pennsylvania Home Care's – My Learning Center. If Step 1 has been completed properly you should be now looking at a website identical to the one pictured directly below.

Once you have fully completed step one please continue on to Step 2.
Step 2:
You should now be looking at the Pennsylvania Home Care's – My Learning Center webpage. Once you have accessed Pennsylvania Home Care's – My Learning Center locate the grey box that has a purple headline reading "Register". The grey registration box is pictured below.
In the registration box fill in all the information that is requested, such as email, password, first name, last name, occupation, employer, and employer name.

An email address is a requirement for registration. If you do not have an email address one can easily be obtained for you. Located in the grey registration box are links to create an email address. The location of the links of the website can be found in the photo below for your assistance.
In order to create your free email account click on either Gmail, Yahoo, or Hotmail to get started. You will only need to chose one for your account depending on your preference. If you have successfully accessed the links your page will look like one of the following.
Once you have successfully created an email return to the grey registration box and imput all your information as directed in the steps above. Once the information in the registaration portion has been completed click the sign up button to continue on to Step 3.
You should now have successfully created your account. If you have done so correctly your page should display a box as follows. To contine click on visit your dashboard in order to display all the courses available for your taking. Your dashboard will appear as follows. The dashboard offers several features to make these online training videos beneficial for you. There are 27 training videos for your training use. These videos offer course objectives that outline what you should be prepared to learn within the video. These informative training videos, include interviews, aides, attendants, consumers, and other experts, ranging in length from 5 to 30 minutes. At the end of each video is a 5 question quiz refreshing what was shown in the video. If you successfully answer 4 of the 5 questions to earn your certificate of completion. Step 3:
